Can dogs eat cucumbers?
Cucumbers are a low-calorie food making them a great choice for snacks for people and dogs. Plus they are low in sodium and fat.
While they are a healthy option to be given to dogs, they still should be given in moderation.
Even too much of a good thing is not always a good thing. If given too often, or in too high of an amount can cause gastrointestinal upset aka GI.
You should only give cucumbers as treats when used from fresh or dried forms that have not been seasoned.
You should never give things such as pickles or relish to your dog even though it is from a cucumber. That is because these items have high amounts of spices and sodium added to them which are not good for your dog.
