How To Make Gingerbread Cookies For Dogs
Because we always want to include our furry friends in everything we do, we have put together a pet safe gingerbread cookies recipe that avoids dangerous ingredients.

Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour (or dog safe flour of choice. avoid all purpose flour)
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
- 1/3 Cup Molasses
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add egg, ginger, and molasses to a food processer or large bowl and blend well. Then add flour and blend again. Last, add water and blend until it forms a ball of dough.
Dump dough ball onto counter or mat.
Using a rolling pin roll dough out until it is about 1/4 inch thickness.
Use cookie cutters that you adore to cut the cookies out of the dough. We did a mix of dog bones and gingerbread men.
Place cookies on a nonstick baking sheet or baking mat. You could also line a sheet with parchment paper if you don’t have a nonstick. Make sure they do not touch.
Place cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until they are a golden brown color.
Allow your dog friendly gingerbread cookies to cool before placing in an airtight container for storing.
How To Store Gingerbread Dog Cookies
After your cookies have cooled to room temperature you can store them in a plastic bag or container. These gingerbread cookies for dogs store well at room temperature.
Because there are no preservatives in this dog treat recipe, these cookies should be consumed or frozen within a few days.
Storage tip, if you want to keep them for a longer time, they can be frozen! Then simply thaw one out when you are ready to give out special treats.
