I love simple dog treat recipes and this recipe makes me happy. No baking is required. It only takes 5 minutes to make but I recommend leaving them int he refrigerator to set.

Even though these treats are made with pumpkin they are great year-round, especially in the summer because they do not require baking.

Ingredients needed for Pumpkin Peanut Butter Oatmeal Dog Treats

  • Natural Peanut Butter (Optional)
  • Some Oats
  • Water
  • Plain Pumpkin Puree

How to Make Pumpkin and Oatmeal Dog Treats

Pumpkin Oat Dog Treats
  1. Start by combining the pumpkin puree and water in a large bowl.
  2. Next, add the peanut butter and whisk to combine.
  3. Add the oats to the mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Grab a platter and using your hands roll the dough into bite-size balls and place them on the platter.
  5. Place some oats in a small bowl and roll the balls in the extra oats.
  6. Refrigerate the balls for at least 24 hours or until they are firm.

How to Store

Store these dog treats in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to a week.

  • 1/2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter (Optional)
  • Additional Oats Are Available For Rolling
  • 2 1/2 cups Oats
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 3/4 cup Plain Pumpkin Puree

Instructions

  1. Start by combining the pumpkin puree and water in a large bowl.
  2. Next, add the peanut butter and whisk to combine.
  3. Add the oats to the mixture and stir to combine.
