How to Make a DIY Dog Leash Holder
Mix the paint with the color you want. You can do it on the plaque or on a dish. Then use the paintbrush to cover the front and all sides of the plaque. Allow it to fully dry before moving to the next step.
With a dry paintbrush, dip in white paint, and then blot a few times to get most of the paint off. Then lightly brush it over the grey on the plaque. Keep doing this until you get the look you want. Allow to fully dry.
Print the paw print template and cut it out.
Lay the template over the painted plaque. The top of the paper should be right at the top of the plaque. Start hammering in the nails at the edge of the black paw.

You want to hammer the nails just in enough so they hold but not so much they go through the board. You don’t want nails to stick through to the other side.
Nails should be spaced about 1/4 to 1/2 inch apart. Be sure to go around the pad of the paw and then around the toes.

When you have nails around the paw pad and toes, rip the paper out from around the nails.
Tie one end of the string to one of the nails on the pad.

Then wrap the string around each nail around the pad until you are all the way around.
After it is all the way around the pad, start going back and forth to the other nails to fill in the center.

When it is filled to your liking, tie it off on a different nail than you started with. Cut off the extra string.
Repeat the string steps for each of the toes.

The last thing you need to do is remove the sticker off the hook. Then place the hook right under the paw in the center of the plaque. Press firmly to make sure it is attached to the plaque.
