Can dogs eat sweet potatoes?

Yes! They can. But, like anything a human eats, sometimes we like things and eat them, and some things give us a tummy ache. The same thing can happen with your dog.

I love my homemade chocolate chip cookies too, I just shouldn’t eat them unlimited.

As you can see, I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter. But, you can use any shape or no shape at all. I find that dogs really don’t care what shape their treats are in.

You can use these for an everyday treat, for crate training, or for anything!

I hope your dog is enjoying these as much as mine is. Please check out the other dog recipes here on the site.

Notes

I do not recommend doubling or tripling this recipe, unless you own a doggy daycare or have a lot of dogs. Store bought dog treats are loaded with preservatives to make them last longer. These will not last as long as store bought dog treats. I have not tried freezing these sweet potato dog treats.
